Collections: Photographs
The Society houses more than 1500 photographs and slides from the 1880s to the present. Images of Jewish owned businesses, individual and family portraits, community organizations and local congregations depict both public and private Washington.

In 1910, Liz Kressin established the Dime Messenger Service, known throughout the city as “The Dime.” The Dime sent uniformed men across the city on bicycles to deliver messages for 10 cents.
